"Why Bodybuilding and what if I'm a woman?"

"But I don't want to get all bulky and veiny"

A lot of you may be wondering why you have to go down the bodybuilding road to put on weight. A lot of people associate the word bodybuilding with the top professional bodybuilders and see an image of a huge veiny guy. Which to some may not be the most aesthetically pleasing thing. The truth is if you are looking to change your body, bodybuilding applies to you, and every body transformation, whether it's putting on weight, or loosing fat, will take a lot less time if the right bodybuilding principles are applied.

I always hear "I don't want to get to big, just add a bit of weight and stay toned, so I don't need all this bodybuilding information" That's like saying "I don't want to be a multi-billionaire, just a multimillionaire, so I am not going to take that 2-million a year job and stick to making 100k a year" it just doesn't make a lot of sense. The more bodybuilding principles you apply the faster your transformation will go. But it will still take time, consistency and hard work. You will not simply one day wake and realize that your muscles grew so much, that they have ripped through your skin.

Women especially get trapped in this mind set and fail to achieve a sexy body they deserve. They do not think that they need to work out like a bodybuilder, simply to achieve a sexy body. Meanwhile if they did eat and train like a bodybuilder they would have a bombshell body in a matter of months. I mean how much weight does a skinny woman need to put on to have toned legs and a nice firm butt. Not a lot. But instead women do countless hours of useless(for that goal) cardio simply to get toned and then see nearly no results.

The best kind of weight you can gain is muscle. It is the most useful most healthy way of gaining weight. Top bodybuilders work their asses of, trying to loose weight in order to get down to a very low body fat, to look as they do in the competitions, so you don't have to worry about looking like them. They have superior genetics, they use steroids and they have been doing what they do for decades. Gaining muscle does not mean getting shredded.

The bottom line is if your goal is simply to gain weight, gaining muscle is the best way to go. Muscle is heavier then fat. Muscle adds strength. Muscle adds power. Muscle adds confidence. Muscle makes you look a lot better. Muscle makes you more attractive.
